People Awareness Day – because the bears are aware, but are you?

May 23 - May 26
Montana is bear country! This Memorial Day Weekend, Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary is hosting a fun and educational day focused on how we can all help keep bears safe.

Join us for bear spray demonstrations, keeper talks, and interactive campsite demos featuring our resident bears, Bo and Bluebeary. Learn what to do (and what not to do) when living and recreating in bear country.

Bears in Montana are already aware of people. The question is: are you prepared to do your part to keep them safe?
Save the date and stay tuned for a full schedule of events. Let’s work together to keep bears wild and thriving in Montana.
Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary will be open from 10am to 4pm.
