YWS in the Media

  • May 15th YWS achieved the Bronze GuideStar Nonprofit Profile level. GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information about nonprofit organizations and a leader in advancing transparency in the nonprofit sector. This level demonstrates Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary's deep commitment to nonprofit transparency and accountability.
  • March 18th kicked off Rock Chuck Day at YWS! After the event The Carbon County News featured us on the front page. Margi is quite the superstar!

Upcoming Projects
At YWS we're always pushing forward to pursue our mission at the highest standard. Whether that involves improving facilities, constructing new habitats, or adding animal enrichment items, there's always something going on at the sanctuary. We love keeping everyone updated on our ongoing projects. They wouldn't be possible without your support!

Margi's New Home

As many of you know we're in the process of constructing a brand new marmot habitat for Margi. Back Alley Metals is making a great frame for this enclosure and we'll be in the home stretch of this project once that's completed!

Sandhill Crane and Vulture Habitat

This year we'll be working on the construction of two all-season enclosures with heated winter shelters for our migratory sandhill cranes and vultures. Fundraising is ongoing for this project and with your support we can build two amazing new habitats!

Meeka's Habitat

Meeka's new home will be located where the old red fox habitat used to be. Back Alley Metals will be constructing the green house inspired frame and with large windows for visitors this will be a great new habitat to view one of our newest residents.
